How do I install new software updates?

Whenever a new software update becomes available, you will be able to install it using one of two methods.

Method 2: You will also receive a notification on your Central Information Display. Download the software directly to your BMW using a strong Wi-Fi connection or your vehicle's cellular connection. How long does installation take?

Installation can take up to 20 minutes or more. Once the installation begins, you will not be able to drive your BMW. Park in a safe location, and do not turn your vehicle off during the installation process.
